More cool Science exploration with Room 8 and Mr Reid!
This week the children were "micro-exploring" using USB microscopes. They were looking VERY closely up noses, ears, mouths, on their skin ...some even found wild life to examine!

Explorers 8 LOVES Science time with Mr Reid! Last week they were learning about programming robots.

On Tuesday Explorers Five went for a
walk. First the Explorers
stopped at the dairy. Next
we went to the Pa site. We found rocks. One of the rocks was a sea rock. All of
the rocks were different. Next
we went down Beach Road. We had morning tea. After morning tea we had a play. That was very fun. After that we saw Matakana
Island.

On Tuesday the Explorers went on a
hikoi. First we stopped
and had a look to see stuff around us. After that we kept on walking. Next we got to Otumoetai Pa site. Then we looked for painted
rocks. Last we had a
look for some more stuff at the harbor.

we walked to the Matua Dairy and had a water break. After that we went to the Otumoetai Pa site and
looked for painted rocks. We saw a rock that looked like a fish. Last we went to Beach Road
and had morning tea and a little play. We smelt the seaweed. It was stinky and
covering shells.

down on the grass. We looked for painted rocks. Next we went drawing. After that we went down the hill.

oystercatcher, the sea, a ladybug, the Mount, a container ship, Matakana Island
and it was amazing.

Otumoetai Pa site. When
we got there we tried to find some painted rocks. We found six painted rocks. Then we went back to school.
After we went to have lunch. My favourite thing I saw was the beach because
there were beautiful shells. I love beautiful shell.
